E-book: What information does an orbit analysis provide about the condition of a turbine?

For assessing the condition of a turbine, the path that the shaft takes in its journal bearings is an important source of information. Through an orbit analysis, causes of vibrations can be detected, allowing for appropriate action to be taken.

To visualize the path of the shaft, it is necessary to measure the vibrations of the shaft relative to the journal bearings, or the relative vibrations. To make the relative vibrations visible, two proximity sensors must be placed perpendicular to each other and facing the shaft. By applying this to all journal bearings, it is possible to visualize the entire path.

In our e-book, we discuss the various problems that can be revealed through an orbit analysis. Request it via the form below and immediately receive an email with a download link to the e-book.
