Jaquet FT1000 series

The Jaquet RPM measuring and switching devices of the FT 1000 series are built in integrated circuit technology as 19 inch plug-in units. They record and signal rotational speeds and other frequency-proportional measured variables in an analogue way.

The family consists of the following types:

The converter is a measuring transducer which converts an input frequency into a frequency-proportional output current and a proportional voltage. The output voltage is displayed on a pointer instrument on the front for control purposes.

The frequency relay has a relay switching stage which signals when a frequency that can be set on the front panel is exceeded or not reached. The switching status of the relay is indicated by the front lamps. This device is particularly suitable for signaling an almost standstill (1 rpm when using a pole wheel with at least 60 teeth module 2).
The standstill monitor FTR 1043 with a permanently calibrated frequency range of 0 … 2 Hz has two pulse amplifiers with an output voltage of +12 Vpp, rectangular and a relay switching stage which is connected to amplifier no. He can therefore z. B, can be connected directly to a rotational direction discriminator type FTD 1040.

The plug-in unit has two relay switching stages that are independent of one another, which signal that two input voltages that can be set on the front are exceeded or not reached. Its input is connected to the voltage output of a converter. The switching status of the relay is indicated by the front lamps.

The direction of rotation discriminator allows the direction of rotation of a machine shaft to be signaled. This requires an encoder that emits two square-wave signals with an amplitude of 12 Vpp that are electrically shifted by 90 ° and whose phase relationship to one another (leading or lagging) is determined by the direction of rotation.The plug-in unit has three frequency outputs at which a continuous signal and a signal that is only present in one direction of rotation can be tapped. The direction of rotation is indicated by a bistable relay with a UK and two indicator lamps on the front.

The encoder monitoring has three inputs for connecting 2 encoders and a frequency generator (control input). It monitors the function of the two encoders by comparing the input frequencies with one another. The signal with the highest frequency appears automatically at the output. However, each input can also be selected individually using a switch on the front, so that only the selected frequency appears at the output. Three lights on the front signal the input with the highest frequency.

The network control is used to monitor the power supply of devices in the FT 1000 system. In the event of a power failure or a device fuse blow, an alarm can be triggered via a potential-free changeover contact. The fuse failure is also signaled via the front light.

The partial slide-in frequency generator FTQ 1051 is used for functional testing and commissioning of systems with devices in partial slide-in technology.

One power supply unit per rack width is required if there is no potential-free alternating voltage of 24 V available for supplying the plug-in units from this program.

Jaquet FT1100 series

FTW 1100 – FTF 1123

The Wandler FTW 1110 is a transducer that converts an input frequency into a frequency-proportional output direct current. If it is connected to a pulse generator, its output direct current is proportional to the speed of the machine shaft and can be displayed on a display instrument.

The FTF 1123 frequency relay has a frequency input and a relay switching stage. The desired switching point can be set on a potentiometer. If the input frequency (and thus the speed of the connected pulse generator) exceeds or falls below the set switching point, the relay switches.


Jaquet FT1200 series

The instruments of the series FT1200 are designed for installation in areas where danger of explosion exists. The instruments are mounted in compression-proof plastic housings and can therefore be installated within the dangerous area.

The converter FTW 1213 is a measurement transformer which converts an input frequency into a frequency proportional uniform output current. If it is connection to an impulse transmitter, its output current is proportional to the speed of the impulse transmitter.


Jaquet FT1300 series

The frequency measuring and switching devices of the FT 1300 series are microprocessor-controlled and work according to the period measurement principle with subsequent reciprocal value formation (computer principle).

The family consists of the following types:

The frequency-current converter is a measuring transducer which converts an input frequency (Hz) in the form of a sine or square-wave signal into a proportional, impressed direct current.

This type of device is a compact measuring and monitoring device that combines the functions of a frequency-current converter as described above and a frequency relay with 2 switching points in one housing.

This frequency relay has a frequency input and two relay switching stages, which can be set independently of one another between 0 and 99.9% of the programmed end value of the frequency range. Two 3-digit decade switches, which are accessible after removing the front panel, serve this purpose. Each switching point is assigned a red and a green LED, which indicate the switching status (green: switching point undershot, red: switching point exceeded).

The direction of rotation discriminator fulfills the task of signaling the direction of rotation of a rotating machine part. To detect the direction of rotation, 2 square-wave signals shifted by 90 ° (± 50 °) are evaluated. The frequency of these signals is proportional to the speed.

The functional units of the speed detection and overspeed protection system FT 2000 are designed with the latest technology in a modular manner for installation in 19 “subracks. This modular system allows measuring chains for single or multi-channel monitoring to be accommodated in one or more sub-racks according to customer requirements and for different requirements.

The family consists of the following types:

The selection board is for 2 of 3 selection with three channel type limit monitoring systems and similar functions. Selection is by relay logic.

The voter card is for 2 channels with safety relay logic for monitoring two limit values or system error signals.

The module “Push button” contains four galvanically separated changing contacts,- which can be actuated manually on the front plate. The contacts may be used for resetting or triggering binary inputs of monitoring or relay modules.

The frequency generator is used for calibrating and functionally testing the different racks of the FT 2000 system as an accurate, digitally adjustable frequency source. The function is realised with the aid of a phased-locked loop (PLL), a quartz stable reference frequency and a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO).
